Review

Ritesh Mohapatra

Falimy is a heartwarming blend of humor and drama led by a solid Basil Joseph "Falimy", directed by Nitish Sahadev, is yet another gem from the Malayalam film industry due to its charming blend of humor and drama. Despite a wafer thin plot, the film takes you on a unique & preternatural family journey with a natural progression and relatable characters. Sahadev's effective storytelling makes the audience genuinely care for the characters, creating an emotional roller coaster. While the music score could have been stronger, outstanding performances by Basil Joseph and Jagadish, coupled with solid editing, compensate for it. Falimy places itself as a sweet, effective family drama, aligning seamlessly with the genre of heartwarming Malayalam cinema, making it a delightful addition to the industry's repertoire.
