Based on the novel “Uprising” by Dean Urdahl. One of the major battles during the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862 was the attack by Dakota warriors on Ft. Ridgely, south of Fairfax, Minnesota. That battle is depicted in The Assault on Fort Ridgely,
